A sky full of spiders

Ku-ring-gai National Park, suburban Sydney view map

I was walking up the Willunga track in Ku-ring-gai National Park. I met a young
couple who were walking down. After the obligatory gday and howyagoin the young
man warned me about the fifty million spiders I would encounter a bit further up
the track. "Keep your head down," he said. He wasn't very tall, so I assumed I
would meet these spiders at eye level, but I didn't spot any until on my way back
I looked up and there they were, high above the track and giving no offence.
