This shows where a big slice of mountain fell into the valley in 1931. From
near where I took this picture, a steep track leads down into the valley to
meet up with the route of a horse-drawn tramway from the days of shale and
coal mining in the valley 100 years ago. This leads to a walking track back
through the scree of the landslide to the foot of the "Scenic Railway" a
modernised relic of the mining days, which saves a lot of steps back to town.
The next shot is from the track you can see left of the centre in this shot.
