An interesting spot, my first visit. I was looking for views over the harbour, and sat down on the grass with
my camera. A young woman sat down near me, showed interest in the camera and asked if I would take a
photo of her boyfriend who (she said) would appear very shortly in a kayak, coming first in a race. We waited.
He was coming about fifteenth, which gave her time to offer me bits of the chicken she was eating. That
is when this magpie got very interested, and agreed to pose for this picture in return for chicken leftovers.
