By Lucy Humphrey. A 150 cm diameter acrylic sphere filled with water, mounted on a steel, timber
and masonry base. "Horizon is a site-specific sculpture that celebrates the surrounding natural
environment. Using water as a sculptural material, the work will temporarily transform the viewer's
experience of the site, as a monument to the coastal landscape and the consistent line of the horizon."
[There was a uniformed attendant standing nearby to keep viewers at a respectful
distance, and a sign implying that the focussed sunlight could be injurious.]
