This was the end of a longish walk along a road in the valley. Our 16-y-o Hmong
guide produced our lunch from her backpack, and we sat at a table in this house
to eat. Then a long wait for other walkers to catch up. Other tourists here
had air-conditioned buses but our "bus" turned out to be an old Russian jeep.
