Beautiful in its simplicity. I think carnations are definitely underrated; they sure get a bad name from the florists that sell those sterile, non-fragrant ones. I guess not all of them have a smell, but...still. They are definitely one of my favorites.

i like the neatness of the way this flower disposes its petals. reminds me of a victorian lady in voluminous skirts sitting perfectly draped across a chair.
