This is a timid young Kingfisher who ventures away from it's parents every day to sit on the birdbath.
Yesterday I posted a photo of an ants nest on the trunk of a tree. It is in here that the adult Kingfishers make their nest. They use their beaks to open up the ant nest & it is in here they lay their eggs. Life between them & the ants is harmonious. The ants do the housework by keeping the nest clean for the Kingfishers. Once the birds leave, the ants then seal up the hole once again.
