The best strawberries & other produce for many generations have been grown in Redlands Shire.
Sadly many of these family owned fresh food farms are being swallowed up by development.
I wish I could have taken this on the side where the doors were but we were on our way to
a birthday dinner & thought I had better not show up at the restaurant with dusty feet & shoes.

I love strawberries! I've a long wait now though...

Just like here Laine.... It's tougher and tougher for the small farms to stick around... I like the look of this shot from this angle, certainly obvious the season's over :-)

I think I can feel the heat coming off that field :-) Would
you trade some of your warmth for my autumn colors and frost?

It looks like it's time for a new planting. I appreciate local farmers so much. I hope that this farm continues for you to enjoy.

This is an excellent image, Laine. Reminds me of summer ;-)

It is very lonely looking without anything growing around it.

This is a great photo Laine-the muted colors showing a barren (at this point, anyway) field drawing straight back to the closed barn. Tells the story. Excellent.

A nice but sad little hut in an empty paddock showing the effects
of lack of rain and wind erosion. How many months is it since you
had proper rain?

Very nice picture, even more powerful with your explanation

For a moment I thought you meant Redlands, Florida...it's also a growing region that's polluting the Everglades. The fawn that is fat in my PAD today is also quite small so it may not survive the winter; which would be fine because deer up here in northern Michigan and Wisconsin are too many for the habitat...

Looks ready for another planting.

Sad, but true everywhere. I like the simplicity and isolation.
