The standard family joke was that even if the house was burning around her
my mother-in-law would stop to put on the beads before leaving.
When she passed away in 1988 my sister-in-law handed me the beads in their original
box. One day my daughter, then her daughter, will be custodians of * Mother's Bead's *

My gran used to wear beads like these - they weren't real pearls, though. We're not that wealthy. Nice image, Laine.
