Change

The Western District of Victoria farms have cypress tree shelter belts and plantations, to provide protection for sheep, cows and other livestock.
A pathogen in a spore form, known as seridium, started attacking the trees and many have died. It has certainly brought about a change from how I remember it as a child on my annual holiday on my Uncle and Aunts dairy farm

Monochrome works well to tell this story. Well composed and very sharp image.
But a sad story.

So sad when a whole species of trees gets attacked by problems. The tree in the distance is gorgeous. Hope that one will be ok.

A lovely image. I remember when I was so much younger, visiting with my grandmother to her sisters farm in South Dakota. That would be back in the mid fifties, So much has changed.

Blight is so terrible. I'm sure it was shocking to see the dead trees. Love this in B&W. V

It’s sad. We have had a spore attacking trees and I’ve lost 9 trees in my yard alone. Really makes the Utility Bill high without the covering of trees.

The monochrome tone make for a sad reminder that these trees once thrived and its sad to see them dying off, Laine.V
