Seed heads - Queen Anne's Lace

According to Paul Wiegman, "Once the flowers are pollinated, the head curls into a tight ball. This prevents animals, especially birds from getting to and eating the seeds before they are ripe. This assures that reproduction of the plant is as efficient as possible. Plants are just a seeds' way of making another seed."
