Because of the crowds, we were told not to stop too long to take pictures. This one was taken in a hurry.
Its function of the Intihuatana not completely understood. It has four sides pointing in the four cardinal directions.
It is the highest point in the Machu Picchu ruins. The actual peak of Machu Picchu mountain is outside town.
