These power lines cross the trail and the Potomac river. At this point the vegetation that surrounds the trail has been completely cleared. The path followed by the two power lines can be seen for miles in each direction. The crackling in the air makes you aware of the high voltage and the current being carried. I try to get past this section of the trail as fast as I can.
