It is early enough in the morning that you can see the shadow of the setup on Zabriskie point in the picture.

You can just make out the valley beyond the hills of the badlands. On the other side of Death Valley, is the Panamint Mountain Range. The highest mountain in Death Valley, Telescope Mountain, is in the Panamint Range. Some of the peaks were still covered with snow.
