Aluva on the Periyar river

My uncle and aunt live in a beautiful development along the Periyar river with single family homes and apartments (also called flats in India). Aluva used to be called Alwaye in the old days. I fondly remember the journeys as a kid when we used to visit Kerala for holidays, when the train to and from Changancherry used to stop at the railway junction at Alwaye.

There is nothing like the beauty of Kerala during the monsoon season.
