It is even more disturbing to see that in these days where everybody spends money on useless easter chocolates. Thanks for reminding us that, Karen.

Great shot Karen. It would be nice if we could solve this problem...

You never know. My home town, a large city, was flooded with homeless a few years back. The local news did a few sympathetic stories but folks were becoming suspicious of all the signs reading, "I will work for food". I began asking, maybe 7 or 8 of them, if they wanted work. Not a one took me up on the offer. One station watched a fellow leave his corner, walk a few blocks away and get into his descent car.
Still, what's a buck or two if they really are hurting. You might get ripped off or you might just feed someone. But this guy... I'd pass. Even his sign is too neat and clean.
It's a damn shame the good suffer for the bad.

I see these quite often in Charleston too, Karen. You wonder how they got to that point, don't you. And wonder why them and not me.

Nice capture. His clothes are pretty clean.
Are there good social services in that area?

Lovely shot and sentiment Karen.
I am not heartless Karen but he looks too clean and well shod to be a pauper.

Sometimes I give...most times I don't. Saw a lady some time ago on the corner. Her sign read "I work 40 hours a week and still can't make ends meet. So here I am, can you help?"
I dropped the bike into neutral. I could relate...those behind me had to wait.

He looks so cold, wonder how much he pulled in and what he spent it on. There are so many of these guys out there now a days.
