Great shot and commentary, Karen. This DIY guys are getting to be a rare breed.

My husband is like that too thank God. Guys who are DIYourselfers and who are good at it, are worth their weight in gold.

Superb candid. Minnesotans are noted for being do-it-yourselfers, too. Though there are more and more yard and snow removal services springing up... :)

How'd you find me?

At least he wears underwear! Admirable trait being able to "do it yourself".

self-reliant AND fashionable . . . . don't all the hot rappers dress just like this?

A wonderful image of the simpler times when homes and buildings were built with pride and craftsmenship. A true talent indeed, one that seems to becoming rare in the larger cities of this world.

True of Kentucky also. I've worked in the lumber business for 32 years, and have figured materials
for sheds, garages, even houses, drawn on brown paper bags or a piece of lumber.

Great shot ... I'm all thumbs unless it's playing guitar.

That is an admirable trait. Something that I wish I was good at.
I have to be self-reliant when cruising aboard my little boat.
But I often have to have a pro fine-tune my handiwork when I get home.

Its good to be self reliant and do it yourself, that way it gets done the way you want it and it gets done right!
