First Snowfall

West Virginia

Okay, I have to admit the inevitable. Winter is here. The high temperature yesterday was 23 degrees with windchills below zero.

Note: I cropped the original per Gary Hebert's suggestion which I agreed with and sharpened to bring out the falling snow.

It was 37 the other night/morning with wind chills in the mid 20's.... and that is REALLY cold for here. Florida is a big state and the SW gulf coast in subtropical in climate except for when we get the jet stream all the way down to Key West....shiver!!

Wow, snow! I love snow just before Christmas... it's never happened since I've been in Virginia. It is still hard from me to see Christmas without snow. This is a beautiful scene... the snow covered hill of West Virginia. Nice composition.
