Why Puppies Need Constant Supervision

Sadie the new puppy wasn't satisfied with her living arrangements and decided to redecorate. This all happened in the ten minutes I was on the computer.

First she dragged the bedding out of her crate which can be seen in the background.

Next she went to the kitchen and got the big dog's food dish and carried it to her bed. No idea why she dumped it and strew it all over the floor.

She finished off by adding a rawhide chew.

Then apparently exhausted by all this work, she took a nap.

This is what I saw when I went into the living room.

And she's only 7 weeks old. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

The little devil! He is a cutie though!

He is soooo cute. Funny how he did all that and then feel asleep. This could have been much worse...one of my dogs got a hold of a roll to toilet paper when they were little. They shred the whole thing into tiny little pieces...my living room looked like it had snowed.

Oh but isn't puppy breath worth it? :-)

Oh yes, this takes me back. How quickly we forget how "adorable" they are at this stage. I didn't have my obsession with cameras back when stevie and ben were pups, but I sure would have liked to have pictures of what I found on the day they ate my sofa down to the wood. Oh my. Patience Karen, you only have to endure puppydom for another year or two. Thanks for sharing this.

Sorry Karen, but have to LOL. You DO have the patience of a saint. And how can you not love his antics!

Hope you had a good day, otherwise :)

You must have the patience of a saint; I'd be pretty annoyed. My kids had a puppy and we tried using that crate thing, but the dog just howled all the time so my son would carry the thing around with him. The pup peed in his bed and my son just changed the sheets (rubber sheets under his bottom sheet); it went on like that til the pup was house trained... oy!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you Karen. I fully understand or don't understand there thought process; now that Go Home seems to have adopted Gayle and I he never ceases to amaze us with all his little tricks.

oops - him!

It's so exhausting when you're little and you want to do stuff - a nap in the middle of chaos seems like a good thing to do! Karen this pup is completely adorable you are very lucky to have found her.

I think it's funny that he dragged the bedding out of the cage--looks like a pup who knows what he wants! He looks very content now.
