Basic Black

West Virginia

I'm not saying I wouldn't take a smart phone if someone gave me one. :) But for my needs and budget, it's this oldie. Heck, I can't even get a signal at home.

Submitted for the challenge topic "A picture of your phone."

So your phone is a dumb one!!! Good name for it Karen...
Some phones I've had I've had to go outside to get a connection - so I had to make sure I can get a connection on my new phone before I kept it...

I'm with you, Karen. Intermittent signal at best. Wonderful in B&W and great DoF. V

If it ain't broke, don't fix it or get a new one. It poses well and is photogenic, that's all you need.

Nice focus and depth of field. I like the shadow. "V"

I like your selective focus here.

Cool shot. As long as it works when you need it, that's all that counts.

I got mine for $5 when my old one got stolen and so I got to get a smart phone. Don't use it much except for calls. I do like this in B&W....great light and shadow!

Interesting pov and selective focus.

Mine is an original Samsung flip-phone with no features, not even a camera. I never use it... maybe once a month. I don't like to talk on the phone and only do it when I absolutely have to. We get good signals here, because it is flat terrain. On vacation in West Virginia, I couldn't get a signal most of the time.
Karen, I like your oldie, it is basic and functional and practical! Nice shot!

That is always my first test... SIGNAL AT HOME.

I just got my first (and only) cell phone 20 months ago. Never use it ~ so I could care less what it looks like. Love your details & dof Karen! V

Good focus on this, Karen. Yes, I know what you mean. When I visit family, I can get signals in only a few places and none at their homes.

Mine's black and basic too Karen...I can get a signal from home but choose to ignore it unless it is really necessary :))

Iits all you need for calls& texting when you have a collection of cameras (but I do love my iPhone )

Cool shot. Especially if you pair it with the milk shot, it's like they are graphically opposites. I like the long shadow in this. V
