I don't know how I've missed this all of this time. I set it in slideshow mode and watched as bagpipe music streamed on my computer. Touching and even haunting at times. Such a real world gallery! Bravo.

Mary.... really, now.... hunters hunt for food.... I am from Gilmer County and I do not know one hunter who is the least bit "Nazi-ish" .... do us all a favor and stay away!

Disgusting people, I am was one of them years ago. Still own a home there in Mineral County, WV where my daughter and grandchildren live, as well as her "hunting" husband. He disgusts me with his hunting and murder of animals - like the one picture below, has no respect for life. Backward and unenlightened... Reminds me of the NAZIs - hunters do... just killing for the sake of killing.

karen, i loved lindsey, stairway to heaven, scarecrow, the whole 5th row, and muffler family. have you seen 'portraits and dreams' by wendy ewald, she went to appalachia and turned kids loose with cameras, they did some amazing photos. look for it, you might like it. thanks for the gallery, and for your insightful, thoughtful comments on ours, denise
