Thanks Tim. I certainly appreciate your post. Yes, focus doesn't seem to be an issue-- even with the older 'non-S' 300 of mine. We are selling a tremendous amount of these. I just started shooting this type of stuff 3 weeks ago. My gut is telling me to spring for a 1D-n, but the wallet is saying these are fine. Rick

Blimey Rick, the autofocus on a D200 must be amazing. I have not achieved a sports shot this clean even once!
