Gareth, it's gorgeous. i just didn't understand why it was supposed to be Adrian - but i haven't seen his Tibetan pics so will go and look now (a treat to look forward to)
and this could be morning because of that flush of pink on the horizon ;-)
Flick.

G'day G - i'd not understood your email - looking instead at the kodak slr forum.... duhhh I came here (this gallery, for the first time) before heading out to dinner this evening and had a chuckle - i guess it had to do with the tibetan pics i'd taken recently?

Love the colours & symetry. cheers, adrian

Good grief. I've chickened out and renamed it. It still means nothing to everybody, but at least that's intentional now. I just thought it was really great and interesting pic** but it had absolutely nothing at all to do with the challenge. So I thought 'bugger it ... I'll sling it in regardless' hence the original title ;-)
** BTW, I realise that 99.9% of people will disagree on this, which is perhaps making it difficult to put two and two together. Now if it had been a stunning B&W high contrast portrait of some bloke spouting profanities while standing on a box somewhere ......

It can't be Adrian, his nose isn't that long ;-)

How about if I call it 'Phoenix rising from the ethereal glow of morning having banished the inhospitable cold of night' ? would that make more sense?? I could tweak the saturation as well if you wanted. G.

May be this is similar to Adrianox when photographed in the morning with a Pentax camera :-) MCsaba

Why is it obvious? I don't understand either.

What d'ya mean you don't understand? Its obvious isn't it ??
Oh, and as for the Pentax:

I have to say its much nicer than I thought it was going to be. Really big bright viewfinder and considerably better noise than the E1 (I shot RAW). Not bad at all! G.

Wel, it's all very nice, but I don't understand?
Plus I didn't know you had one of those Pentax jobbies?
gobsmacked (jono)
