With only a cloud to mark his grave, the swollen legs and stiff arms will propell him further no more. If there is a wind you cannot feel it. The air is clear and the light falls thinly through it to the ground. Perhaps one last attempt to make it to the tree line... A shadow falls across his arm - he wants to turn and look, but his neck and spine are broken, laying like a sword beside him... O it makes you weep, when you see such real tragedy. sniff. sniff. (great light! great clouds!)
I've gotten a little bored at times with Jono's proliferating scarecrow shots, but this one is perfect for this challenge and is my favorite among the first 27 entries. - Warren
