First Week of Spring by Tim Ashley

Sussex, England

This little lady looked rather depressed in her vase so I took her outside for a while and she blossomed... Now she's A3+ in a nice frame on my wall and everybody loves her. I have a new frame with matt board cut to this size and will put in a different picture every week to reflect the changing season. This is 'first week of spring'... and it looks like Quentin and I are living in the same climate!

Great shot, and yes, great to (briefly) have blue skies to shoot against...Quentin

Oh, just realised it's the shadow of the opposite petal.
Really lovely image anyway.

Hi Tim, sunny here too.
This is absolutely biooootiful!!!
I especially love the shadows of the stamens, which look like guitar machine heads.
