Fifth :: Birdstorm :: by Tim Ashley*

Brighton, England

Shooting on a very chilly Brighton beach yesterday at dusk, a massive cloud of small birds was swooping and sweeping around so I thought I'd slow them down a bit...

Well Shelby, you should have seen what it was like on the coast... this was forty miles inland ;-) Tim

Great shot Tim,
At first I was wondering how in the world did you survive that tidal wave and what happened to those poor people in its path.

Thanks all - and to think I almost didn't enter this one! It was shot in landscape and this is a crop of about 25% of the full frame. Thank heavens for Genuine Fractals! Tim

two killer images here Tim - with this being my fav. very high impact capture with superb light, comp (big time), and the two guys could not have been scripted more perfectly, nor could the birds. I'm intrigued to know if you shot this in landscape or portrait. Having seen your work for a year or more, i'd guess landscape?

thanks heaps for this wonderful gem. cheers, adrian

I prefer this to the first on because of the lights, birds, and the more dynamic composition. - Warren
