007...oh you British, how much respect do you have for your national hero! Thanks for the comments, MCsaba

superb capture McSaba!, and purrfect to theme. like others here the 007 theme comes to mind, and enhances this true gem. I cant help but think cropping the top of the image to remove the 'corners' enhances this image considerably - puts the focus straight down the rifled barrel. 'tis a winner in my books. cheers, adrian

Great shot - and I like the dof just as it is . . . it's often worth grovelling around isn't it! kind regards jono

well, like i say, it's personal preference, and if you're happy that's the most impoortant criteria. whatever, it's a remarkable shot of an unusual subject, with which you are justified in being satisfied.
Flick.

Thanks, Flick. I was laying under the cannon in front of a museum in a not really confortable position. My first consideration was surviving, DOF was only the second. But I liked the DOF as it and I had not much worries about the softness at the edges. MCsaba

What a wonderful idea and superb composition. I wish you'd had just a touch more DOF, just the tiniest bit to carry the sharpness a little further forward, paticlarly upper left; but given the shutter speed and the fact that you were probably hand holding, that may have been impossible. That's probably just me anyway, I'm niggly about details, and that sort of thing is, anyway, personal preference.
Overall this is lovely.
Flick.
