:: Arun Valley II :: by Tim Ashley

This is an update of an image from last summer that I posted in the exhibition gallery. Taken at sunrise today over a very frosty view, it was very flat in colour but with some levels, a bit of blur, grain and B&W conversion, it now looks roughly like it felt. Cold, and slightly dreamy cos I'd just woken up!

Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n ,
1/500s f/8.0 at 110.0mm iso320 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Are you sure this isn't an etching? :-) So crisp yet... interpretive. Great job.

Such great forms and lines in this, Tim. Peaceful image, but one waiting to grab you with its beauty upon awakening. -- DF

A dreamy landscape indeed Tim. It's so great to see you as the originator of all this "challenge" fun back in full force:) - Albert

I love this - it almost looks like you used a graduated IR filter!
Lovely light, great shot. jono

This is lovely, Tim. The frost and softness give it a strange infra red, soft focus blend. It IS very dreamlike. I like that you haven't been tempted to subscribe to the mass liking for super high contrast.
This is much like a black and white fibre print done on one of the specialist tinted papers.
Flick.
