The Lone fisherman by Quentin Bargate

Mauritius

Morning light on the volcanic rocks in Mauritius with a lone fisherman on the end of the jetty. Only scanned this in a few weeks ago. I once posted a similar shot on the group, but this is my preferred version because of the light hitting the rocks.

Hi Paul - actually this is the first time I have posted it - in fact I only scanned it in a few days ago (don't know why I took three years to get around to it). But you're right if it looks a little familiar, because I posted a similar shot some considerable time back, taken from a similar position earlier in the day, but I *much* prefer this one. Silly me, I should have scanned it sooner. - Quentin

I'm disappointed that it isn't Prince fishing . . . . otherwise this is perfect.

Thanks a lot Albert. Mind you, it's the last time I take a full LF kit on holiday! Too much hassle - and the Fuji Quickload film holder broke. Still, after three years I am glad I made the effort as I am really happy with this shot - Quentin

Thanks. Large format can still do things most digital cannot, yet - Quentin

Hi Quentin,
Beautiful picture. I'm glad to see that large format photography is still being used.
