Thank you shelby. This building is extremely old. we certainly have plenty of those.

Another great shot. You certainly great buildings in your country with charm and character. So many of our buildings here are cookie cutter, blah stuff.
Best regards,
Shelby

Hi Quentin, i tried that before and felt it rather overwhelmed the chapel....i like the luminous quality of the sky as it is, but each to their own. thanks for the suggestion and the positive comments :-)

Slightly sinister - Just a thought, but try darkening the sky (use multiply and selectively erase the chapel is one way) before converting to monochrome. It's a very good shot, but I feel a more threatening sky would add even more drama - Quentin

Hi Paul, he came out of the door ahead of a whole party of people. I took three or four of him (remember this was a wide angle shot, so i was very close), then he sarcastically asked if i was doing a TV documentary.

Lovely ambiance Flick. Did you capture the old fellow by chance? He really make this image work. Regards Paul

Hi Kim. St Oswald's chapel stands alone in a field (built on the remains of a Roman fort) so the solo context refers to both the chapel and the elderly man.

Very nice perspective and captured details in the stonework and clouds. Conveys a very moody atmosphere.
Although the many appears to be alone, the photo doesn't seem to be about him, but about the building. What's the context? --Kim
