Green Lane by Jono Slack

Bier Lane, Redgrave Suffolk UK

I've always been haunted by Graham Sutherland's painting Entrance to a Lane.
For me, the first week in May is always a magical time, first everything turns green, then the cow parsley comes out, and the hedges are full of white filligree. Regeneration indeed!
I've been trying to get this shot for years, today I actually took a tripod with me (yes really) to try and get the right shot - I hope it works for you too.

Lovely shot Jono. I also love this time of year - just before the council turns up and starts cutting the cow parsley down, the rotters - Quentin

Ah, so you were caught by that Beltane magic ;-) And such a lyrical comment - goodness Jono, you'll be outdoing me soon with your literary efforts.
Beautiful, evocative image that leads you in and makes you want to see what's round the corner. LOL, once in a while a tripod is a good thing (though I always manage to leave mine at home - hate the darned thing).
Flick.

I remember seeing other variations of this scene. This version is excellent, especially the line of white flowers leading up the entrance/exit. - Warren
