No problem, Silas, it took but a moment to alter the numbers.

The link problem was my fault - i uploaded it twice by accident then deleted the first so there was a gap... sorry kids

the sun was just from behind on the left... hence the fact that the reflections are all on that left facing angle... no tricks... just a very lovely day! i thank Mithras

F/8 on a small sensor digicam has a very, very small diameter aperture. I would guess the star effects comes from diffraction around the blades. You can get this with 35mm cameras at f/22 or f/32 sometimes.

Now it will. For some reason the numbering sequence had skipped 10.

I thought not, but they are so symmetrical I did wonder if you had a sneaky star filter not being owned up to ;-)
Flick.
PS: now Silas's picture won't link on from Shelby's.

This is great Si - lovely shot.
Flick - no star filter's around here - Silas was seen out in the garden with typewriter on table - so I'm pretty sure it was all natural.
kindregardsjono ;-)

This is excellent, Silas. Would you mind sharing a little of your technique when taking this? Were those rayed highlights natural or did you use a star filter for example.
