We have a lot of cloudless sunrise/sets where I live and I don't usually try to photograph them, but this is absolutely beautiful. I am going to look closer from now on with cloudless skies. - Blaine Byers

If you saw the Pano in the Dpreview forum you will see this forshore abounds with dead gums. This was one of the very few with a nest in it. It was the main reason this tree was singled out. Thankyou everyone for you kind remarks. - Paul

Hi Paul, I'll join the chorus preferring this one. Both are beautiful, but this one has a certain magic. There's so much here that one could see symbolically....the baptismal water, cruciform limb shapes, vaginal lacunae, and of course the nest. Overall, a strong blending of contrasts amongst birth, initiation, and death. DF

Very nice Paul, I like the water, colors and character of the reflections a lot more in this one. This reminds me of a pano I saw somewhere... John

Thanks Warren, I just thought the strong contrast against the tree and the sun might fit this theme better, but I agree the water is much nicer in the latter shots. Regards Paul

And water symbolizes life, and the bird's nest symbolizes birth. The tree is great in both shots, but I like the water much better in this one. (Don't pay too much attention to anything I say while I'm having insomnia.) - Warren
