"Leaft Overs" by Albert Yanowich Jr.

A leaf hanging around in my front yard pine tree. I put the sun directly behind the body of the leaf.

Great texture - the backlighting produces great lighting on the 'needles' & the leaf looks great. Dean

Thank you Sir Jono! Thanks Pepe... although a bit more clinical than your previous offerings... I appreciate your thoughts:) - Albert

when we see through the skin of something we think we are seeing its veins but maybe we are just seing ours projected. pepe

Thanks Flick! No... it's a very straight shot. By positioning the leaf between the sensor and the sun, the pine needles behind the leaf really came through with some nice shadow detail. - Albert

Albert, this is intriguing because it looks like a composite, but I assume it isn't. Fascinating shot. I like some of the things that are happening with leaf edges and the veins on the large leaf. Nice use of light.
Flick.
