We left Salishan after breakfast, and headed north to Lincoln City, then inland, then south on I-5.

Approaching Medford, we saw a solitary mountain but are not sure which one it is.

In Medford we stayed in the Hampton Inn, which was nice enough but had very hard beds.

Saturday AM we drove through Ashland (an attractive town) and past Mount Shasta, rising like an apparition in the distance, then filling much of our view.
