We passed through Crescent City, CA, and Bandon, OR.

South of Crescent City, a group of elk were relaxing outside a cluster of buildings.

Coos Bay is the largest city on the southern OR coast. We checked into the Edgewater Inn (nice enough). Our balcony faced an inlet and a sawmill.

We drove to the city’s boardwalk. No suitable restaurant was open, so we bought food at a Safeway.
