The Tamron you compared appears to be the Adapt-a-Matic based on the photo. Many of the Adapt-a-Matics are attractive lenses. However, they can't compete with the optics of the Adaptall 2 SP or the regular Adaptall 2 lenses.

I looked at this lens, the Carl Zeiss 135/3.5, and the Tamron.

Of the three the Super Tak is the sharpest. It slightly bests the Zeiss, and both are much better than the Tamron.
