NEW HAVEN, CT - At approximately 2:00pm August 1, the New Haven Fire Department battled a blaze in a 2 ½ story wood frame structure located on West Street. First in units rescued two residents via ground ladders and the fire immediately went from the basement through the roof. A second alarm was struck and companies went to an exterior attack.
