Lordship Pasta and Seafood Fire (Stratford) 1/28/05
STRATFORD, CT - At 11:00am January 28, the Stratford Fire Department responded to a working structure fire at 60 Beach Road in the Lordship section of town. The structure, which was a landmark restaurant now named Lordship Pasta and Seafood, had flames through the roof as first in crews arrived. Fire officials reported that the fire began in the basement and quickly spread throughout the building. A quick interior attack was started, but soon proved ineffective due to the heavy volume of fire throughout the structure. Companies were pulled out and a defensive attack was waged with a ladder pipe and several other master streams. There were no patrons or workers in the building due to having been closed in early December.
