Howe Ave. Vehicle Fire (Shelton) 9/7/05

SHELTON, CT - At approximately 9:30 a.m. on September 7, Shelton Fire Companies 1 and 5 were dispatched to the vehicle fire on Howe Avenue in front of Riverview Park. Shelton Company 1's Engine 2 was the first apparatus on scene and went to work on the heavily involved Chevy Blazer. The driver had escaped the vehicle unharmed.

To guest: If you are a firefighter, I hope you aren't a Shelton one... As for the car fire's.. being a member of the Shelton FD I will agree that there are alot of car fires in the city.. Guarenteed at least 1 -2 a week (avgerage).

Hey guest, did someone get their period today? What is it that is bothering you? You don't think you get an extraordinary number of car fires for a town your size? I work in a city of almost 100,000 residents and we don't see anywhere near the number of car fires that Shelton gets. I can't figure out if you're a firefighter or not. My guess is you have all of the tee-shirts and your hand is probably on your pager waiting for it to go off but you are certainly no firefighter. Most firefighters I know have a thicker skin, especially when nothing that was written was critical of any person or department. You must have felt so tough writing that as a guest, unable to leave your name. In fact I'll bet you were giggling like a little bitch. Grow up tough guy!!
