Horse Through Falls is north of Helen about 9 miles. The trick to finding it is knowing what to look for as is typical of some of these locations nothing is well marked. Go about 9 miles North of Helen on RT 17/75 and look on your left for a gray sign that says "Mark Trail Chattahoochee Wilderness Area". If you are comeing form the north you will only get a glimpse of the back of the sign, but just past it will be a sign stating you are entering a Soil and Water Conservation District. This is FS 44 at Unicoi Gap, make a left (if coming from Helen) and take the unpaved road just under 5 miles. The road is narrow and curvy, but is about a 20 min drive at 10-15 MPH and can be done in a car. When you get to the bottom camping area the road will come to a T and you will go to the right. There is a Day Use Parking are right there, but do not park there. Enter the Camp grounds just past the parking area and head striaght back to another Day Use Parking area at the rear of the grounds (past sites 24-34) and the Falls Trail begins there. This is a rather simple less than 5 min walk to the falls. The later pictures are of a small falls that you pass shortly after turning onto FS44, nothing great, but a nice little cascade run off anyway!

I rate these falls a 7 with a difficulty of 1-2 and well worth the trip.
