We saw two Screach Owls this morning on a boat mast in Corpus Christi,TX. Are they native to this area or are they just passing through?

hi, we have a screach owl at our house. its out during the day sometimes and it sits by our house at night. do u no any way to get it off our properdy. that way r 2 kittens out of our 5 cats out at night. r they like a barn owl.
