Thank you all for your kind remarks and votes yesterday. Processing the image was helped greatly by the fact that Jill's gown (she got it at the Salvation Army) was the exact color of the BG so the desat and slight sepia that was added merged perfectly.

This is as shot, the softness was mostly from a Warm Soft FX 1 filter, which I've been carrying around for 6 months and never used. Slight crop at the top and again I could kick myself for cutting off the toes :(

Beautiful work again Karen. The lighting is perfect as it the soft tone. The toes being cut off is not a big deal, I don't believe it takes away from the photo at all.

Beautiful portrait, KL. I don't think the loss of her toes hurts the composition. I didn't notice that until I read your caption. And hey...without toes, at least you know that SHE can't kick you.

It is very good monochrome. I waited so much time for this moment Karen. To see you begin shooting in mono;) Very good pic and expression as well. Expression is very important.
