A very sensitive lathe portrait. I wanted to get married in front of my lathe, but my wife nixed the idea. This is excellent!

Nice shot Karen! I especially like the DOF that highlights the cutting mount which is compositionally right at that magical "thirds" spot!

You would never know the light was bad from how you shot this. Very nice. Love the sharp angular front agains that soft and muzzy round back. And guess what... I have two lathes right here in my house. Go figure.

Russ, it's in the machine shop that I work at. They have to guide me, walking thru it, else I'd harm myself in a big way. This thing scares the bejezzus out of me.
