Lobsterville Beach

This is the last one from this weekend. There is something about a winter beach scene that is compelling to me.

I wish I lived closer to the sea. I really like this picture

winter beaches are rather depressing to me, they just seem so lonely and quiet. great capture here Karen, looks like the lobsters won. ;-)

Great, I always am attracted to beach seines. I'm sure they recycle.

I completely agree with you Karen. I'll take a winter beach scene any day. This one has a wonderful bereft look to it. Nice shot.

Tide's out!

It has a lonely abandoned look. I love an empty beach. But it does say winter time. The traps add to it making it much more than an average beach scene.

Great shot. Looks chilly though :>O

I never realized that lobsters played croquet. How about that!

Nice shot -- but doesn't anyone pick up after you people?

Nice low tide image.

Nice shot. I wonder why the mooring buoys are on shore. Maybe the boats are out of the water for the winter?
Guest 24-Nov-2004 02:55
Are these buoys? I always wondered what these are for. I assumed they were to mark shallow water, or something. This is an interesting, and unusual take on the classic beach shot.

Linda is right, forlorn is a good word. A little sad
and lonely feeling. Wonderful shot, Karen.
Guest 24-Nov-2004 02:34
There's a forlorn feeling to this. Great composition.

I think those things are boarders for the too deep section of the beach. Well, I think anyway. Nice shot

Great shot! I love the waves against the sand.
jude24-Nov-2004 01:22
Very nicely composed, Karen.. the lighting is quite nice.. lots of depth
Cliff24-Nov-2004 01:06
These buoys are so vivid against the sand! I guess it's very low tide?
Pepe Zyman24-Nov-2004 00:53
They look like sea mines!
