These images were taken on my first trip to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge near Olympia, WA, on February 3, 2007. It was a chilly, cloudy day, with off-and-on drizzle.
We hiked the entire 5.5 mile trail around the refuge to see what what there was to see. Since I didn't know what to expect, I left my tripod home, thus all of these images were taken hand-held.
