They always had the Audubon "elephant folio" displayed in the rare book room. I wonder what happened to all the LPs they had. I had a pair of shoes with rubber crepe soles (ugh, the 70s) that were quiet everywhere else but squeaked on the terrazzo floors in the library.

The rare book collection is still there. I believe there is a room called Grosvener Room. The library itself is technically the Central Library.

Do they still call this the Grosvener Branch? I used to spend hours in this place. Do they still have the Rare Book Display on the second floor?

I used to visit the old gothic library that stood in this place before they razed it and built this one.
I think ECL is one of the best in the country.
