Yeah good ol' Casey's bar. Had that fake fireplace thing on hinges that moved away from the back wall and there was the back door!

I grew up on Norris St. and spent many Fridays there for Fish Fries. Grew up with Paula. My cousin Kathy still waits on tables there on occassion.

I spent a lot of time here in the early 70's. Chet and his wife Jane were the owners and I remember his two daughters would help out and wait on customers once in a while. A real nice friendly neighborhood place with the bar, pool table, games, etc. in the front (by Hertel) and also there was a back room room with booths. If you felt having a burger or some fries you could go back there, have your food and also it was nice to just go there to get away from the noise and crowd in front. This place did get pretty packed at times. I worked at Twin Fair on Elmwood and my buddies worked at Harvest The Best grocery which was right next store (Tops plaza is there now, right across from Home Depot). We'd go and hang out at Nortel's after work. For a span of about 2 - 3 years, it seems like I was there just about every night. A lot of great times with friends were spent here. Here's to Chet and Jane!
