I remember the organ playing skeleton as one of the scariest things. Can still see it rocking back and forth. I aslo recall the faint smell of the cedar siding. What a great ride. Disney what? SG

This is the best Crystal Beach site I have seen! Thank you so much. We always had a cottage in the summer and this place is still very vivid in my memory.

i sit here looking at pictures that i'd thought i'd never see the likes of... i too, like many 50 somethings, have some incredible memories of Crystal Beach, and it's surrounding summer cottages ( as a high schooler in the early 70's, these cottages were the places where boys and girls turned to men and women, and every one of us took our girls to CB! My particular memory of Laff in the Dark was one day, where a freind and i once on the ride, and inside, would get out of our cars, and jump on the back of a car that came up behind us... it was both dangerous, and stupid, but DAYUM if we didn;t scare the bejeeeezuz out of whoevers car we jumped on. i only wish that in today's age, there was a place like CB to bring my own children and grandchildren to. it was a wonderful place in a wonderful time. whoever put up this site, my hats off to you! I LOVED this ride. Remember when it seemed like the wall was collapsing in and the barrel (on top of the wall?) came rolling RIGHT TOWARD YOU!

It is a shame that whoever took these pics didn't capture the Skeleton playing the piano and the fat lady in the flowered dress and big hat who laughed.
