Stewart Island, New Zealand-1681

There are two species of native pigeons found in New Zealand this one is the main land species also known to the Maori as Kereru, the other pigeon is only found on the Chatham Islands known as Parea. I was surprised at the size of this pigeon and how fast they moved, it is a very cool bird to photograph.
